So I'm a Mommy. It was a little weird for the doctors in the hospital to call me "Mrs Pendergraft". I guess I'm a grown up now? LOL.
Being prego was a breeze compared to labor, delivery & recovery.
Labor was 15 1/2 hours. I was induced. Went into the hospital Sunday at 11 pm and he was finally born Tuesday at 7:46 am. 3 1/2 hours of pushing. He did not want to come out! He must have been cozy there in the womb. Injured my tailbone and it still hurts almost 2 months later. The hospital nurses were awesome. Wish I could have brought one of them home with me! The first 2 weeks after Mason was born I felt like a zombie. So exhausted! The nurses at my doctors office were so nice to answer all my millions of questions when I got home from the hospital. I don't know how women have multiple kids! Its certainly not easy. I cant imagine taking care of another kid, a new baby and yourself.
My parents came out for almost 2 weeks when he was born and they were a lifesaver! Doing dishes, running errands, helping me with the baby, cooking dinner, putting up with my grouchiness....LOL! Seriously we were really greatful because they did everything that I couldn't.
I have seen enough Judge Judy to last a lifetime! LOL. The first month all I did was watch TV and feed Mason and shop online....whew that can get expensive! There is so much cute baby stuff out there-its dangerous. I was so glad to get the go ahead to start cleaning and be able to leave the house for a little while to run an errand. I'm not really looking forward to going back to work. Its gonna be hard to leave this little guy. Although I can't imagine not working. I've worked for so long, went to school and I enjoy it. Its times like these that I wished my family lived closer. Fortunately we have excellent babysitters.
Mason is a reflux baby. He spits up all the time. I don't know where I got the idea that being a parent would be easy LOL. It was kinda scary cause he had to be on IV antibiotics when he was born in the hospital and then he had jaundice. Fortunately he is better now. He has been constipated lately.....I get really excited when he goes poopie!
I realize its no longer just about me or me and Adam....... Its all about the baby now. I don't think it really hit me when I was prego. It wasn't until I brought him home that it really dawned on me.
He is so precious and already so spoiled!! Its just an amazing and overwhelming feeling being a parent. My pugs are slowly adjusting. Baxter is having a hard time, no longer being my baby. When people come over, they go nuts for attention...though they kinda always did that.
Everyone says to enjoy every moment now but I can't wait til Mason gets a little older and is eating solid foods and can walk and talk.
Life has changed as we know it. Welcome to parenthood!

Hillari he is so beautiful and such a sweet little guy!
Once I start feeling better and get over this awful cold, we need to meet up before you go back to work!! Love that you are a Mommy now! It's so much work but so worth it! Having a 1 yr old, a 2 yr old (well she will be 3 in dec) and a baby on the way has me a little nervous but being a Mom is the best! Love yoU!!
Haha..you are so cute. I love it! It gets easier and I'm on three. The older they get..they are more independent and that's great..sometimes. The arguing and talking back is way tough. No one can ever prepare you for the life of a mother. It's one that never ends, always 24/7 and I imagine will be that way when we are 80. Still worrying and wondering if they are ok and making good choices. I love and miss you Hills!
