Today is my official due date. Still no baby...... Did you know that 40 wks is actually 10 months?!
He seems content to chill for a while. Meanwhile I am getting very uncomfortable- can't sleep, headache, nausea, carpal tunnel, back pain, going to the bathroom all the time, feeling short of breath, getting anxious, etc... Everyone says to enjoy your time now and rest...but I can't seem to get comfortable enough to rest. I am ready for him to be here!!! So glad I started my maternity leave this week.....
I will be induced next week if he doesn't come on his own this week. So hopefully he will be here by next Tuesday! Yay!!! And yes we expect him to be a big baby. I am thinking 9-10 pds. Will post pictures when I can. In the mean time, drop me an email or message on Facebook.

Its a boy!!

Me and Katie and the dogs
I'm sure everyone knows by now.....I have a bun in the oven. Due date is August 1st.
Here's what I've discovered about pregnancy:
1) No one tells you that you get FAT. I've already gained in 6 plus months what I wanted to gain the entire pregnancy.....I am actually looking forward to working out after the baby.
2) The first trimester wasn't terrible. Just had to eat to avoid the nausea.....
3) I eat all the time....I'm obsessed with food. I love fruit, ice cream and mexican food. Those are my 3 food groups.
4) Back pain= no bueno. It is only going to worse. I am now rethinking not being in shape before I got prego. haha.
5) The last trimester is moving SLOW.
5) Choosing a name is really hard. We really haven't made a final decision yet.
6) Babies are expensive!!
Of course it is all worth it....but this is my chance to vent :-)
We are super excited. Last week I had my baby shower.....thank you Sally and Aubri! It was great to see everyone and have my sister and Mom fly out for it. Everyone was so generous....we really appreciated all the beautiful things we received!!
Now I just gotta get through the summer!!

Let's Catch Up...........
Its been FOREVER since I last posted on here.
The Fall background had to go!
I went with very girly pink, kind of Valentine's Day/Springtime-like.
Let's re-cap:
1) Vegas in November for Skylar's birthday. Highlights: Bahama Breeze, Blue Martini, visited my old job & friends. Dinner with Adam's fam. I miss the fantastic restaurants & happy hour specials! And of course we miss our friends. hint, hint.......come visit!!
2) Christmas was great! Roadtrip to CA to see the fam and a stop in Reno to see Adam's fam. Long drive with the dogs! I finally got my straightener, thank you Mom! Adam surprised me with a beautiful necklace. It was just great to see everyone and spend time with family during the holiday!!
3) Switched to a 4-10 work schedule. 3 day weekends=woot, woot!!
4) I LOVE to cook! I watched Julie & Julia & Food Network! I heart Rachel Ray, she makes it look so easy! I made lemon cake with lemon cream cheese -whip cream frosting, 3 cheese chicken enchiladas, BLT salad, mini mushroom cheeseburgers, pineapple smoothies, etc. I love lemonade, fruit and salads lately.
5) I am still 'thinking' about working out.....(thinking burns calories right?) yet I continue to eat and eat!! I am going to be signing up for acquatics & yoga classes.
6) Winter is almost over...........yea!!! I am so done with snow and cold weather! So glad I live close to Trax!!
7) We will be moving again......UGH! Lease is up in June. Not sure where yet but it will be in Salt Lake. Dogs need a yard. What was I thinking getting a 3rd floor apartment?! I dream of being able to afford a home on the east benches! Family is coming out to help us move....thank you!!!
Stay tuned......I will TRY to post more often!!

Random thoughts
So Its been a while since I've posted on here.....
Let's catch up.
We went home to San Fran in September for a Giants-Cubs game. Its been a tradition cause I'm a Giants fan & Adam's a Cubs fan. It was awesome to see everyone and to be in the city. I miss it there! The people, the weather, the ocean, my fam! If only we could afford to live there.... Not on my social work salary! Lol.
Adam is back in school this semester. He got a new job, doing the same thing but different company. Its flexible which is awesome for his crazy schedule.
I have been thinking about getting a new job and going into the clinical field. I like my job now but I feel like something is missing, like I should use my degree or something. I miss the hospital setting. I miss working with teenagers and the world of residential treatment......never thought I would say that!! Been checking the ads online and no one is hiring. I would consider doing it part time on the side, in addition to my day job.
And by the way, no one explained to me that my job involved sales, numbers and quotas! My performance evaluation is based partly on how many successful closures I have.....I get that we have to have measured outcomes to justify our program to the Feds but its unrealistic given the population I work with, in addition to the state of the economy.
I think about working out but I don't actually go.....which would explain the extra pounds, or maybe the ice cream & the carbs & eating out?! I moved back to Utah, lost a couple pounds & then gain it back....Blar!!
My favorite word is Blar....its my word for being annoyed with whatever is going on that day/week. It seemingly fits every scenario lately. I can thank Melinda for this one!!
Later this month we are going to Vegas.....woot woot!! So looking forward to getting away for a few days. A bunch of us are headed down there for Skylar's 30th Bday. We are gonna see Adam's fam and take a couple days to relax and have fun. I found an amazing deal for a hotel! $30/night!! Trader Joes, Bahama Breeze, Blue Martini are must do's!!

Welcome to the West Side
Sorry I haven't blogged lately. We finally moved and are all settled. FINALLY! I never want to move ever again but since we are still renting, it is envitable! I don't know why they even make 3rd floor apartments. My calves were killing me for the next few days afterwards! I am getting used to the dreaded West side. I NEVER thought I would live west of 7th East! Its not a terrible location and I don't have to deal with the downtown crowd, ie transients & clients!! I made an exception because our place was brand new and they had a fantastic move in special. And I love my large tub for bubble baths. I've taken Trax to work in the morning a couple of times, it certainly wasn't BART, that's for sure! But it wasn't terrible and it will save gas $. That's what I will be doing this winter because everyone knows how much I hate to drive in the snow!
Our dogs are certainly getting a work out as well, 3rd floor up & down, up & down to go potty! Even though we downsized, I couldn't give up our babies! They are actually doing okay with it and Baxter uses the potty pads (most of the time).
My Dad came out a few weeks ago to visit and help us get settled in. Seriously the coolest Dad ever. We went shopping and had dinner with our cousins. I cooked dinner and invited a few friends over to meet my Dad and see our new place. We played board games with my Dad after dinner, so much fun! Thank you Dad for everything! I wish we lived closer. If only we could afford to live in the Bay Area!
I discovered my new fav dessert, these fantastic Island Sorbets from Costco. They make me want to have a Hawaii themed party or a Luau minus the pig.
I am so excited that Fall is upon us. Love the change of seasons!

MOVING AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I feel like writing this entire post in CAPS!! We are moving AGAIN, AND YES WE ALWAYS MOVE! The home we have been renting is falling apart. It sucks because 1) we are tired of living here wondering what will break next and getting blamed for trashing it 2) our landlord is crazy 3) did I mention our landlord is crazy? 4) I wouldn't be surprised if the home got sucked into a bottomless hole in the ground like the Poltergeist movies! Its "Charming" because its "historic," all the homes here are 300 years old. The location is amazing because its close to downtown. So because of that, it adds like $300 extra onto the rent, to account for the vintage charm factor and the location. Its not just this one, several of the homes here are falling apart. Students, hippies and yuppies live here. I love the area, just not a fan of the rental.
So we decided to move to Midvale. West side, scary I know, but we found a fabulous deal at a brand new apartment complex. Not excited about the whole apartment situation but so excited about the new part. We will be walking the dogs and getting our exercise for sure.
So I guess we're probably moving next weekend....ugh so this week we will be packing. I'm crossing my fingers to find a new tenant asap. I know no one wants to move in after they read my post here! So because we gave our notice, our crazy landlord asked us to find someone to take over the lease! I posted ads and interviewed potential renters. I finally found someone who was actually willing to pay what she is asking. But my landlord is so picky about a new tenant, I realize its her house but at the price she's asking, beggers can't be choosers! If they pay the rent, who cares? I have never broken a rental contract before, but this place is too expensive and so not worth it. A few months back the landlord said to me, "why don't you move out? it sounds like this place isn't working out for you." I didn't want to move at the time because I hate moving and I didn't have a place lined up to move into. I have that documented in an email. Grrrr!! And yet she is still asking us to find a renter to take over the lease!
